Character Tracer

Your job:

When you are reading a book characters change and we learn more about them as we read chapter to chapter. It is important for everyone in your group to know the main character and those characters who support the main character well.  Choose three characters to track. Carefully trace the character's actions and reasons for those actions. Describe each character in detail, either in words or with an action map.  Be sure to give the page locations where the scene is described.

When you meet with your group:

Use the following character frame to study the characters from your reading selection. Be sure to fill in all areas so that your group will understand what the character is doing in the story. Read this to the group and have them comment and add information that you may have missed.
